Getting started

Getting started

Create your Noteo account and turn your first recording into a searchable transcript with an AI summary.

Create your account

  1. Sign up

Go to noteo.ai/sign-up and sign up with Google or with your email address.

  2. Tell us how you work

A short onboarding asks what kind of meetings you record, so Noteo can tailor summaries to them. You can change this later in Settings.

The Free plan needs no credit card

It includes 300 minutes of transcription per month, speaker recognition, AI summaries and exports. See Pricing for the Pro plan.

Choose how you transcribe

Noteo works with the recordings you already have and with meetings as they happen. Pick the workflow that fits, or combine them.

Your first transcription

The fastest way to try Noteo is to upload a recording you already have.

  1. Open Create and choose the Upload tab

Drop your files on the page or click Select Files. Most audio and video formats work: MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP4, MKV, MOV, WEBM and more.

  2. Wait for the transcript

Transcription usually takes about a quarter of the recording’s length: a 1-hour meeting is ready in around 15 minutes. You can leave the page; the meeting appears in your library when it is done.

  3. Open the meeting

You get the full transcript with speakers, timestamps and an AI summary.

Using the desktop app in local mode? Files are transcribed on your computer instead, which needs ffmpeg. See Install ffmpeg.

Review, summarize and export

  • AI summary: key points, decisions and action items, generated for every transcript.
  • AI Dialog: ask questions about a meeting, such as “What did we decide about the budget?”.
  • Export: download TXT or SRT subtitles, or copy the transcript to your clipboard.
  • Share: transcripts are private by default. Share one by email or with a link when you choose to.
